Multiple Passive Affiliate Income Streams Revealed

Creating multiple streams of income is a critical element of any business. Affiliate marketing is no exception. By creating multiple streams of income you ensure your business longevity should one income source dry up. Having multiple streams of income can be compared to McDonalds selling chicken sandwiches even though they are a burger and fries type of restaraunt. If you put all your eggs in one basket you're just looking for trouble.

As an affiliate niche marketer it's rather simple to setup multiple streams of income because there are an abundance of different programs with quality products available. With most niches you'll likely even be able to find goods that complement each other instead of compete. This is an exceptional way to reinforce your affiliate earnings.

The first order of business is to get your own web site. Something basic will do as you won't require too much web space. There are very low-cost hosting plans available nowadays, some as economical as $3.95 a month.

Next you'll need a domain name. These are also low cost and can be purchased for less than $10 a year. Your domain name is very important. You'll want to try to include some of the keywords associated with the niche you're targeting in the domain name itself. If you're looking at the " health and nutrition" niche for instance, you may desire a name like "health-and-nutrition-tips.com" or something similar.

The next task on your agenda when building multiple streams of affiliate income should be to build your own email subscriber base. Building your subscriber base should be one of your top priorities. By capturing the names and email addresses of your prospects before sending them to the merchant website, you'll build a subscription list that you can send information and offers to that are related to your niche

It's been said many times before, "The Money Is In Your List"! This applies to affiliate marketing as well as product creation. You can build your list by writing a free report about to the niche you're targeting. It may be you can write a review of a product you're supporting or a "top ten" list of reasons to use the product. Offer the report for free in exchange for your visitors name and email address.

After the prospect has given their information send them to the download page of your special report. By transferring them to an HTML web page you can sprinkle in links to other affiliate products related to the niche email list they signed up for.

Also, write from seven to ten emails to go out at five to ten day intervals, each highlighting a different aspect of the main product you're promoting. Then you can add more emails to go out at seven to ten day intervals exposing your readers to different products in the same niche. Explain how these products complement each other and why your reader would benefit from the purchase. These are just some ideas of how you could use your list to generate sales. The possibilities are endless.

By setting up a few of these basic sites offering an array of special reports in targeted niches you'll be promoting several different affiliate products at the same time. Find a variety of other lucrative niches to target, repeat the above process and before long you'll possess a whole network of sites funneling prospects into your sales process.

Soon you'll have multiple streams of affiliate income in several different niches producing passive income on auto-pilot.

Online Casino Affiliate Programs: The Ins And Outs

The Internet is full of thriving industries, generating billions of cyber dollars for real life people. Whether through employment, entrepreneurial prowess or sheer blind luck the Internet is a financial playground of opportunity ready to be explored. Many people are dissuaded by many of the disparaging statements and supposed risks that are involved in Internet commerce, but there are a number of completely safe and 100% legitimate industries that people of all abilities and financial backing can try out. In fact one of the most widespread and common Internet programs is also one of the most successful in terms of potential revenue and in the customer base, this is known as affiliate marketing.

Affiliate marketing programs have sprung up everywhere in an effort to offer online advertising for the largest industries, such as the online gaming industry. Fields such as online casinos have generated unparalleled success through the simple method of advertising through a network of websites. For inexperienced newcomers to the marketing program it may sound a rather daunting prospect, but it is in fact very simple but hugely successful. All that is required from a new affiliate is that they have a website and are prepared to host advertising banners and links within that site. If this is not an issue then there are a number of casino programs waiting to be signed up to. There are no restrictions on who can join or even the content of your site, the sign up is free and simple to complete.

But despite all the assurances about ease of use and the free exchange of advertising materials, new recruits may still have questions regarding just how people earn money just by hosting a few adverts. The answer to this is actually very straightforward. Firstly each of the links that the affiliate program supplies is coded with an individual URL, unique to your site. This identifies when a player joins the casino just which site has forwarded them on. The player can then be assigned an individual code, which will then mark out each time they play, how much money has been generated for you.

The Casino affiliate program largely works on a market share of how a player performs on a site for the duration of their stay there. The affiliate can earn a percentage sometimes in excess of 35% for each of their players, which when added up over time can often lead to a fairly significant sum. Through offering this hugely lucrative award scheme the casinos gain loyal and hard working affiliates who consistently provide new customers, in order to follow their own capital gains. The greatest thing about this system for the inexperienced user, is that it is all done automatically, with some sites even tracking the activity of your members so that you can see just how your business is going. Unlike the casinos the affiliates never stand to lose a penny, if a player wins and therefore creates negative profit, the affiliate remains untouched, with only the casino bearing the brunt of the failure. Making it a risk and cost free venture ready and waiting to be explored by any Internet user.

Become A Super Affiliate

Its every Internet marketers dream of becoming what is classed in the industry as a Super Affiliate. To be classed as one, you need to have an enormous downline the size of Texas. I just thought I'd use that for illustration purposes because you do need quite a large base of affiliates underneath you.

For those of you that have absolutely no idea what I'm talking about, let me explain. An affiliate is someone that sells or promotes another persons website or product and gets paid a commission for every sale he or she makes. Not only that but for every person that signs up underneath them in the affiliate program, they also get a percentage of whatever the next person makes and so on and so forth right down to lets just say 10 levels deep. What that means is if I sign 2 people up and they each get 2 people that means by the tenth level I will have 1024 people in my downline. Quite powerful stuff isn't it. So to become a Super Affiliate you need to be good at one thing, Internet Marketing. Now for those of you who are new to this game Internet Marketing is BIG business and I mean BIG. HUGE money. Billions are spent each year on this subject and believe me when i tell you, you can make an absolute fortune doing it.

Internet Marketing?? Thats for people who know what they're doing right? I'm just a regular Joe who has no idea about any of this stuff. How can I manage to profit from this lucrative industry??

That my friend is where I come in. Part of becoming a Super Affiliate is to create a downline. Not just any downline, we want a good solid base of people who have the same idea as you, and thats to make money and lots of it. In order to accomplish this, you need to to train the people underneath you to do exactly the same thing as you, using exactly the same methods as you. If you can imagine for a minute you have a base of 100 people. Now those 100 people you have are going to use the exact same methods you used to get your initial 100 people. Can I ask you a question?? What is 100 x 100?? Thats right 10000. I think I'll just say that again shall I, TEN THOUSAND. Just let that sink in for a minute. We haven't even gotten down to the 3rd 4th or 5th levels yet. You can imagine how big your downline will get using this method.

Now all this is in a perfect world and everything is good in theory, but in real life things never pan out this way. You'll get people that will sign up then never do anything lose interest and quit. This my friend is something we can't control. A lot of people that join up to affiliate programs quit because they realize there's more to it than they first thought, lose interest or after all there efforts aren't making any money so they quit. To combat this you need to have an established system in place that walks your new affiliates through each step of your program and answers every question they might have. Remember you are the Master here, and you have students that are eager to learn the ways of an Experienced Internet Marketer.

By now your probably thinking, you've lost me. Now I won't lie to you, there are some things you will need to sign up for and they do cost money but as we all know you need to spend money to make money. This system once set up funds itself and puts money in your back pocket from day one. You can set this system up on auto pilot and it will continuously pay you each and every month. This isn't some pie in the sky operation, this is a proven system that will take average people and turn them into millionaires. The stuff you will learn will make you a fortune. All you need to do from here is listen to the audio message on the site and really pay attention to what they're saying. These guys are the reason I'm in the position I'm in now.

Win The Lottery Using The Power Of e-Lottery Syndicates

Let's just be honest with each other, you play the lottery to win, there's no prize for just taking part.

Now if you agree that the only reason you play the lottery is to win, you need to think about how you can really increase your chances of success.

You are probably aware that the only practical way to increase your chances of winning any lottery is to increase the number of times you're entered in each individual draw.

Unless you enjoy the trip down to your local store and can afford to buy 40 plus tickets for every draw, you should take advantage of the power of e-Lottery syndicates, to increase your chances.

e-Lottery syndicates allow you to multiply your purchasing and playing power, by grouping you with other players. This allows you to play more tickets per draw, without the extra cost of buying them all yourself.

e-Lottery syndicates have numerous benefits for lottery players:-

1. They allow you to play the largest tax-free lotteries around the world.

All you need is a computer, an internet connection and a credit card to play.

2. You get more free time.

Your numbers are entered automatically for every draw. No more trekking to the store, or worse, forgetting to buy your tickets!

3. You just have to bank the cash.

Computers automatically check to see if you've won, emailing you with the happy news, as it happens. There's nothing like receiving an email telling you you're a winner.

Your winnings are sent directly to your home, no more ticket checking, no more having to go and collect your winnings, or worse, panics caused by lost tickets, or forgetting to collect your winnings altogether!

If you don't think this happens, a staggering £649.3 million pounds in prize money has gone unclaimed in the UK over the last 10 years, with the largest unclaimed prize being a shocking £2.9 million pounds.
4. You can win a single draw more than once.

e-Lottery syndicates call this the "Multi-Win" method. By buying multiple tickets they guarantee to have the bonus numbers covered, meaning you only have to match the main numbers to win a prize. The more main numbers matched the more multiple wins and prize money to share among the syndicate.

5. You can build an extra income.

Many people just use e-Lottery syndicates to increase their chances of winning prizes, before they even realize about the potential income from introducing other members.

e-Lottery syndicate's work by having more and more members join, you can profit from this, by telling people all about the benefits they would receive from being in an e-Lottery syndicate.

For instance, by helping friends and family increase their chances of winning the lottery, you would lower your costs for playing, or even earn an extra income.

There's never been a better time to join an e-Lottery syndicate; online gaming is one of the fastest growing sectors on the internet.

In the UK alone, 20 million people regularly play the lottery, spending £1 billion pounds annually, while worldwide spending on internet gambling (of which lotteries is a part) is projected to reach £10 billion pounds by 2010.

Start playing the smarter way today.

To your success,

Affiliates Must Pre-Sell-Don't Make the Mistake That Will Most Hurt Your Business

The Internet is bursting with Web sites created by affiliates to steer visitors to merchants' sites. This is the simple elegance of affiliate marketing–create a Web site, sign up as an affiliate with companies that sell products you like, then sit back and watch the money pour in. At least that's the theory. But many affiliates make the one mistake that most hurts their business. They fail to pre-sell their customers.

Creating a Web site that is one big sales letter is not going to lead to huge sales. Why? Because visitors will resist your sales pitch no matter how enticing your Web site, and they will not likely click through to the merchant's site. Even if they do click through, they will be faced with another sales pitch, possibly with some of the same wording. By selling you are actually hurting your chance to make a profit.

If this doesn't make sense, keep in mind why people in the millions everyday go on the Internet–content. They want to learn something, or they are looking for help with a problem, or they have some other need.

People don't go online to be confronted by a sales pitch. That's why your affiliate site to be successful must create a sense of credibility by offering lots of interesting and informative content--articles, headlines, news, blogs, forums, free newsletters and email courses, and links to more content that might be of interest. These things will keep your visitors interested and they will then click through with pleasure to the merchant's site in a mood ready-to-buy.

This is the beauty of the pre-sell. It's this pre-selling that puts your visitor in a positive frame of mind, which leads to a sale. If you turn your visitor off in the beginning with an obvious sales pitch, it's almost impossible to overcome that, and you've lost a potential customer.

There are two important things to remember to effectively pre-sell your visitors:

Carefully craft your site to the theme of your merchants' products or services.

If you are signed up as affiliate with several dating sites, then your site should obviously be devoted to dating and getting people together, along with anything associated with relationships–flowers, candy, special holidays, jewelry, cards, or gifts. You name it. Be creative. Obviously a pitch for the greatest money-making opportunity won't fit.

Put yourself in your visitor's shoes.

Analyze your site with brutal honesty and try to understand how a stranger would feel navigating through. Is the site complicated and hard to figure out? Do all the links work? Does it have a central, specific theme? Does the site deliver valuable, appropriate content? Do you get a trusting feeling? Will it make the visitor more open to buy? If so, then you can safely recommend merchants to your visitor. People will usually only buy from someone they trust. And that should be you.

Pre-selling works because it's a two step process. The first step is up to you by providing a content-rich, interesting site where visitors will feel comfortable. As you gain their trust, they will pass on to step two by clicking through to the merchant's site. By now they are interested enough to buy, so they will not be turned off by the sales copy.

Let the merchant do the selling. Your role is to educate and help your visitors by providing answers to their questions or solutions for their problems through quality content.

Things to look for before Signing up with an Affiliate Program

Affiliate programs are a great opportunity of making money online. Affiliate marketing is so lucrative that you will find thousands of programs to choose from. With so many options available, choosing the best affiliate program for your business can sometimes take a bit of time and effort. In fact you may make a few mistakes before settling into the ultimate profit-generating affiliate partnership.

To find your suitable affiliate partner there are a few things you need to look for: -

The first thing to check out is the affiliate program's terms of service. For instance, if you intend to use Google Adwords but your potential affiliate partner does not allow Google Adwords for marketing, signing up will not prove fruitful. Thus, reading through the terms and conditions of prospective affiliates is a must. Steer clear of any affiliate programs which do not publicly post their terms of service.

Also ensure that the potential affiliate partner has clear payment specifications. These specifics will help you find out how much money you can earn and how often the payments will come in. You may receive a fixed amount for every sale generated or a certain percentage. For instance, if you are to receive 10% of the sale, and you generate a sale of $100, your earning will be of $10. If the product is good there will be several such sales and the earnings will accrue.

Before agreeing to promote your affiliate programs product, it is very important to check out how their website looks. The way a website looks plays a very important role in how well you can earn money promoting their products or services. For instance, you visit the website of a possible affiliate partner and find out that the website is crowded with several advertisements. Affiliate Programs will generate income for you only if a sale is made. If a potential customer follows the lead from your website to the affiliate programs only to click on one of the advertisements there, you make no money in the process.

The above are starter tips to help you set up a profitable affiliate partnership. Ensure that your affiliate program website caters to products and services that are similar to your line of business. Furthermore, do not have more than 2 affiliate programs at the same time. Place the banners at strategic locations and make sure they gel in with your website and do not stand out as advertisements. Also, concentrate on good content, good color schemes and keep the background uncluttered. All this well help your visitors locate the affiliate add easily, and if they find it interesting, they all click on it. If this visit gets converted into a sale, you earn cash. Its simple, yet complicated. Caution is the key word. If you observe the above mentioned guidelines, you are sure to find success and make fast money.

Google Adsense Tips and Tricks...

Every single website and its owner have the opportunity to make some great money by displaying Google Adsense ads on it. Although many webmasters are making a nice income with these ads, many aren't.
Many people say that all you have to do is put up a website and you'll be making over $100 a day with Google Adsense. It does sound simple and it is, but you will need to optimize your site so that you do generate more and more clicks on the ads that are sitting on your site.
The first thing that you need to do is to Place the Google Adsense ads in the right spot of the page. This will determine how much money you will make each day. It is very important that you place the ad at the top of the page (above the fold) on your website in order to get the most clicks. What this really means is that you will want to place the Adsense code that Google gives you high enough on the page so that your visitors do not have to scroll down to see the Google ads. If you choose to have the ads right at the top above everything else then do that. By placing the Google Adsense ads at the top of your website above the fold, there is a greater chance that people will click on the ad, which will help your site generate a higher click through rate also known as CTR. The reason for this is because the majority of your visitors will not scroll down the page and look at it. A lot of the time, people look over the top part of the page without worrying about scrolling down. The way you blend the ads with the rest of your page can determine if the ad is visually appealing or not. It is very crucial to make the Google Adsense ads look like your site and not another ad. You can do this by making the font and color of the ad's text similar to the rest of the page. I also recommend that you blend the background of the ad with the background of your page. It should basically have the same color.

Google gives you the option to go into your account and customize your ads in different fonts and colors. This will help you blend the ads to your site. Make sure that you don't use the banner ads on your site because this will decrease your click through rate.
People who visit your website usually try to avoid any banner and picture ads that they see. If you want to increase your click through rate, you will want to add text ads. Google gives you that option so use it.

Here are some other small tips to increase your Adsense income:
1. Google has confirmed that using the 336x280 rectangle ad block size does have the highest click through rate. Using this ad size will increase your click through rate and the income that you generate.
2. Using a blue underline for the links can also improve your click through rate. This allows the ads to actually stand out and look clickable.
If you follow the advice given above, you can improve your CTR and make more money with Google Adsense.

2 Tier Affiliate Programs Explained

How will refering new affiliates to an affiliate program make me money in the future? Thats where a 2 tier affiliate program works like magic!

Affiliates are getting cleverer by the day. So these days, affiliates know the difference between the different types of traffic they can get paid for. There are a lot of definitions though – CPM, CPC, CPA, CPL, CPD and many more.

CPM is impressions, when the publisher (the website owner) gets paid every time a banner is shown.

CPC is clicks, where the publisher (or email marketer and other marketers) gets paid every time a banner or text link is clicked upon.

The other ways of getting paid are grouped together under the term performance marketing – and this is where the term affiliate is most commonly used as well.

An affiliate is a marketer who sends visitors to another site using a variety of methods (such as placing banners or text links on their own site, buying sponsored listings on search engines, email marketing and many other different methods) and gets paid when an action happens. This action can be a lead (CPL stands for Cost per Lead), a Sale (CPS stands for Cost per Sale), a download (CPD stands for Cost per download) and many other variations.

Some in the Internet industry refer to performance based marketing as CPA (cost per acquisition), although the term is also sometimes used for specific types of campaigns such as leads or sales.

Now that we've got over the hard part, the rest is easy to understand.

The affiliate gets paid for sending visitors to a specific landing page where an action happens – either a lead, a sale, a download or some other sort of action that the advertiser requires. As an example, some advertisers are looking to build up their databases, so they pay for each opt in email address they receive, others want leads from specific locations, so they pay for zip codes, and then try convince the visitors after they fill in their zip code, to fill in a more detailed lead form.

The common denominator is that the affiliate gets paid when an action happens.

A 2 Tier affiliate program is simply finding new marketers to sign up under you to do EXACTLY what you are doing – sending visitors to different offers and getting paid when the visitors perform some sort of action. So why would you want other marketers to sign up under you to promote the same offers? Simple – you get paid a percentage of the amount the affiliate you refer gets paid? Sounds complicated?

Don't worry, it's not hard to understand. As an example, say John promotes 5 different offers on a single affiliate network. He gets paid for every lead, sale, email and zip code he generates from these different offers. John now tells Mark about the Network and gets Mark to sign up using a banner or text link that has John's referral code built into it. Mark now signs up to the Affiliate Network under John and starts promoting various offers and advertisers from the Affiliate Network. These offers DON'T have to be the same offers that John is promoting. Mark can promote ANY of the offers on the Affiliate Network.

And this is the best part…

For any amounts that Mark gets paid, John receives a percentage of the amount over and above what Mark gets paid. So if Mark gets paid $1000 in Month 1, and the 2 Tier Affiliate program is paying 5%, then John would receive $50 just for referring Mark.

But it gets even better…

Some 2 Tier Affiliate Networks pay LIFETIME commissions. So John wouldn't get a referral commission just for a month or a year – he receives it FOR ALL TIME.

If Mark becomes a super affiliate and starts generating HUGE commissions every month, John can just sit back and collect the checks as he referred him.

There are 3 important things to know when finding affiliates to sign up under you on 2 Tier Affiliate Programs:

Is the affiliate program or affiliate network credible, has proper tracking so your referrals are correctly tracked, has good campaigns and offers for the affiliates to promote so they actually do make money, and do they pay timeously? Assuming that the affiliate program or network is good, what percentage do they pay you on amounts that your referrals get paid? All programs vary so compare different programs to see what the industry standard is.

How long do you continue receiving referral commissions for? Some pay for a month, some for the lifetime, and of course there are many variations in between.

So do your homework and find a 2 Tier program that can make you money long in the future for the work you're doing today.

Promote Residual Affiliate Programs And Earn More

Are you a webmaster in need of additional income? Or are you planning to set up an online business but you still don't have any product to sell? If so, affiliate marketing may be the best solution for your problems. With affiliate marketing, you won't need to worry about the products you have to sell. All you need to have is a website with sufficient contents that are related to the products of a certain online company offering affiliate programs. By becoming a member of the program, or by becoming an affiliate, you can start earning a certain amount of money right away!

Affiliate marketing is some sort of business relationship established between a merchant and his affiliates. In affiliate marketing, an affiliate agrees to direct some traffic to a merchant's website. If that traffic is converted into some kind of action, like a visitor purchasing a product on the merchant's website or a visitor becoming a lead for the company, the affiliate who directed the traffic will be compensated. Compensation may take the form of either a percentage sales commission for the sales generated or a fixed fee predetermined upon the application of the affiliate on the merchant's affiliate program.

Promising a lot of benefits both for the merchants and the affiliates, affiliate marketing has become one of the most popular online marketing methods today. In fact, almost every merchant or retailer site today offers an affiliate program that any one can join into. Most retailers would entice people to become affiliates or members of their program by promising great benefits like large commissions, lifetime commissions, click through incomes and a lot of other benefits. But would all these affiliate programs bring off the same benefits?

Most affiliate programs would pay you, as an affiliate, a one-time commission for every sale or lead you brought to the merchant's website. Commissions for this kind of affiliate programs are usually large, ranging from 15% to a high of about 60%. Other affiliate programs would pay you a fixed fee for every click through or traffic you send to the merchant's site. Programs like this often pay a smaller fee for every click through, usually not getting any larger than half a dollar. The good thing about this kind of program, however, is that the visitor won't have to purchase anything in order for the affiliate to get compensated.

Another type of affiliate program is the residual income affiliate program. Residual affiliate programs usually pay only a small percentage of sales commission for every sale directed by the affiliate to the merchant's site. This commission often comes only in the range of 10% to 20% sales commission. Because of this, many people ignore residual affiliate program and would rather opt for the high paying one-time commission affiliate program. Are these people making a mistake, or are they making the right decision?

We can't tell, for sure, if people are making a mistake by choosing a high paying one-time commission affiliate program. But we can definitely say that they are making a large mistake if they ignore residual affiliate programs. Residual affiliate programs would indeed pay at a lower rate, but merchants offering such kind of programs would generally pay you regular and ongoing commissions for a single affiliate initiated sale! That means, for the same effort you made in promoting a particular affiliate program, you get paid only once in a one-time commission program, and a regular and ongoing commission for a residual program!

So, are the benefits of promoting residual affiliate programs clearer to you now? Or are they still vague? If they are still vague, then let's make them a bit clearer with this example.

Suppose there are two online merchants both offering web hosting services on their sites. The first merchant offers a one-time commission type of affiliate program that pays $80 for every single affiliate initiated sale. The second merchant also offers an affiliate program, but this time a residual affiliate program that pays only $10 for every single affiliate initiated sale. As an affiliate, we may get attracted at once at what the first merchant is offering, as $80 is definitely a lot larger than $10. But by thinking things over before actually getting into them, one may be able to see that the second merchant is offering us more opportunity to earn a larger amount of money.

Supposed you have directed traffic to the merchant and it converted into a sale, you'll get paid once by the first merchant for the sale you have initiated. But with the second merchant, you'll get paid monthly for as long as the customer you have referred to the merchant continues to avail of the web hosting service. That means that for the same effort of getting one customer to avail of the merchant's service, you get paid monthly in residual affiliate programs while you only get paid once in a one-time commission type of affiliate programs.

So, are residual affiliate programs worth promoting? Definitely yes, because you virtually get more money from these types of affiliate programs in the long run! And would residual affiliate programs work best for you? Probably not, probably yes. It is not really for me to tell. But with the benefits that residual affiliate marketing can provide, it would really be unwise to ignore such programs.

Affiliate Marketing And Back-End Selling

In affiliate marketing, all people involved in the program get benefited. The affiliate earns income each time he refers a visitor to the website of the merchant. And on the other side, the merchant produces sales without spending a lot of funds for advertising and promotion. The goal, of course, of both sides is to attain as much earnings as possible.

Since the goal is to earn more income, both affiliate and merchant should consider including the practice of back-end selling in their business activities. Back-end selling is a great support for affiliate marketing. It can greatly augment the income produced from affiliate marketing.

Basically, back-end selling is the selling being conducted after the initial sale. That is, when a visitor becomes a paying customer for one product, another product can be advertised and sold to the same customer. This second product is called the back-end product. Since the customer is already acquainted with the merchant or affiliate, there is already an element of trust planted in between. Selling the back-end product may be easier than the initial sale.

Historically, back-end selling has helped boost the sales of both the online businesses and the land-bound companies. As indicated before, the major reason is the established trust between the customer and the merchant or affiliate. If the customer is satisfied with the first product that he purchased, he will logically assume that the online company is offering quality products. A satisfied customer can be easily turned into a "repeat customer".

The usual technique in backend -selling is to make the customer aware of another product, This second product can cater to the other needs of the customer. And when the satisfied customer becomes aware of the second or back-end product, he will certainly look into it and may decide to purchase it. After such a sale, the merchant or affiliate may offer another back-end product.

Back-end selling had been proven to be powerful in augmenting the income many traditional and land-bound companies. This marketing practice has also made hundreds of online companies flourish and expand. Therefore, it can be a marketing practice that can surely work well with affiliate marketing.

While affiliate marketing will attract new customers and lead to the first sale, the back-end selling can build loyalty among the customers. In other words, back-end selling is one major ingredient in creating that winning formula in affiliate marketing.

Every affiliate should look into the financial promise of back-end selling when coupled with affiliate marketing. These two can make the affiliate earn unbelievably amazing income.

Affiliate Content, Duplicate Content And The Crucial Differences Between Them; Er, There Are None...

Going by word on the Search Engine news group, alt.internet.search-engines, it's looking like Google is getting better at spotting and demoting affiliate content. It could well be that because the same text content is repeated over and over on
every affiliate site that carries it it gets demoted by Google purely for being duplicate content. I see this as being a problem, a growing problem, for every affiliate merchant and client using a data feed to power the pages. While the templates folk use may well vary in detail due to individuals customising them to their taste, essentially they're all variants on the same theme and of course they all contain the same few lines of text content in the same order.
Repetition of this kind shouldn't be too hard to identify and either ignore or remove from the listings or do whatever with which may well mean in the future that the idea of affiliate sites as we now have them is simply no longer practical.

My crystal gifts site is powered by a feed from GoCollect.com using a Cusimano script. I've personalised the templates so if you know me you'll recognise the standard BB layout of the individual product pages. Visually, therefore, it isn't like any of the other sites using the same feed. It still has the same text content, though. Inputting a sample into Google produces "about 584" results, all of which, or the majority of which we must suspect as I'm not going to go through them all to check it absolutely, are built around the same feed. The problem here for both affiliates and for affiliate merchants and for Google is, what's the point in having them at all? If there's one site that has them,
namely, the original, where's the point in Google having the rest of them in the index? They all sell the same product for the same price, so why bother to index them? At the moment, it's the battle of the SEO's. Why should someone buy product A from my site as opposed to anyone else's? The answer would be, because when they search for product they find my site before they find any of the others, and there are ways of promoting sites with which we are all familiar here. But this can't really last. The world only really needs just the one web site for these custom-made products and speciality items, and that's the one from the original manufacturers. All the rest essentially constitute duplicate content and we know what happens to that, it gets filtered out.

So, to counter this problem, you could substitute your own text for the original, and you could take your own photographs of the product. Not a problem for a small site, however, many have tens of thousands of pages. How is anyone going to re-write that lot? Obviously any lone affiliate can't begin to, so the idea of affiliate sites as we now have them, I think, must inevitably give way to niche sites where the affiliate presents a small range of items in an individual style that will appeal to certain of the buying public. The idea would be to create a brand of presentation that clients would get to be familiar with and feel comfortable with. If you look at the items on my crystal gifts site they're all photographed out of context. In your home they are unlikely to be suspended in mid-air against a white background, which is how they're presented in the data feed and thus on my site. I'm suggesting taking pictures of items as they might actually appear in situ, do a little mock-up of a down-lit corner table and snap that from a typical viewing angle, or have an item on a coffee-table against a background of muted lights, featuring an expansive sofa, giving a feel of general relaxed easy-living. This, by comparison with simply outputting the existing data from the feed, would cost a bundle, but it just might might be the only real way forward for niche affiliates. You know what that would result in? Quality sites. The kind Google professes to like.

Meanwhile, though, I suspect people who've built one multiple-product affiliate site, and seen it do well and are now busily engaged in building more and more multiple-product sites on the basis that they'll all do well too, are in for multiple disappointments. I'm trying to go niche in general with my affiliate sites and I've picked on crystal and glass gift items to work with as I can break then down into categories and maximise the potential of each category. What I've got then, in effect, is a legion of niche sites all interconnecting.

For choice, now that I understand more of the industry than I did when I began with affiliate sites, I'd really like a site that does watches and jewellery, these are the items that people are happiest buying from the web, research has
suggested, but I don't know a good feed other than Amazon and I've stayed away from getting too involved with Amazon as it has the high profile it does and will inevitably attract the greatest number of affiliates and so likely will be penalised in the earlier days of any affiliate purge. From what I'm hearing, this purge has already begun.

I Never Made A Dime From Affiliate Reselling Until…

A friend in Atlanta sent me a private email directing me to a website he thought I ought to check out. He knew I was disillusioned with affiliate marketing and had all but chucked in the towel.

And with good reason; I had never earned a dime for all my efforts spanning almost three years. But I'd spent money; money I'd accumulated from marketing my own produce, loads of money on this and that piece of software promising to get me out of the rut and into the money.

But it never happened.

That is until I opened my friend's email, visited the website he suggested, and had my eyes opened to where and how I had been going so wrong for too long.

What I was witnessing is the only genuine training and resource center on affiliate reselling that I have ever come across; no hype, no hard-sell, no rash promises; just a whole raft of workable tools, tips and techniques – and all in bite size chunks that even the newest newbie would have no problem in understanding.

I read the solitary web page from tip to toe, read it all again, and decided to try out just one of the recommended strategies and give it a week or so to produce even a glimmer of a result.

Here's what happened just a few hours later…

I signed in at ClickBank to check on the returns for my own personally generated products only to discover that small unidentified amounts had been tricking into my account totally $157. These represented my first ever affiliate commissions and by the end of the day had amounted to $210.

Not a bad return on my subscription fee of less than ten dollars for lifetime membership to this remarkable resource center. And now, four days later, and although the daily totals are smaller, the money is still trickling in each time I clock into ClickBank.

I intend to implement the remainder of the strategies one by one in the hope that the bigger bucks start rolling in - but even if they don't, at least I now know that I can make money from affiliate reselling.

I cannot and will not promise that my treasure trove discovery will work as well for you but if, as I was, you are struggling to make a breakthrough, you could do a lot worse than visit this innovative center. You will find the URL in the resource box below.

Good luck!

5 Steps to Success in the Private Label Water Business - Affiliate Program Success for Profits and Wealth

The private label bottled drinking water is a growth industry with double digit growth and profit opportunities for the entrepreneur. But like most opportunities care must be taken to seek out and exploit the most profitable niche in the market.

A recent market study examined the growth and potential of the market for bottled water and concluded:

"The bottled water industry grew about 10% in 2005, while carbonated soft drinks revenue is essentially flat," says Gary Hemphill, marketing director of BMC. "There are a couple of things driving the market-sure, people like to have a tap water substitution, but it's really driven by people's demands for a healthier alternative to the wide array of beverages on the market."

Private label water is the fastest growing segment of the overall bottled water market and its future growth is considered by many to be "explosive". .

Private label water combines the purity of refreshing drinking water with consumable advertising that is designed to an individual customer's specification. The water is popular and the branding message, if designed properly, serves to promote business.

Almost every company in the United States can benefit from private label water with a custom branding message. The opportunities are huge, the market is largely untapped and the private label product is viewed by customers as a cost effective, power way to promote a brand message.

The bottled water industry consists of a number of interrelated parts including research and development, manufacturing, marketing and sales. Much of the business model however, requires significant amounts of capital and has high barriers to entry for most entrepreneurs.

Nevertheless, with the advent of the internet and e-commerce, an aggressive sales focused entrepreneur can develop a substantial profitable private label business through affiliate programs .

What Are Affiliate Programs?

Affiliate programs are revenue sharing programs between an entrepreneur and a company that manufactures and sells a product or service. Affiliates are rewarded with referral payments for sending customers to the manufacturer's Web site. The process works as follows:

• The affiliate place links on its site to a particular manufacturer's Web site.

• When a visitor clicks on the link and makes a purchase the affiliate earns a referral fee that is a percentage of the total sale.

• The best manufacturer sites have automatic payment mechanisms and real time accounting.

But an efficient affiliate site requires planning and work. Many affiliates believe they will be able to just put up a Web site, establish some affiliate links and sit back and wait for streams of cash to start coming in. Care must be taken however to be truly successful. Consider the following:

• What type of Web site should you have to make money through affiliate programs?

• What are the best programs for your site?

• How will you effectively market your site and the underlying product?

• How can you find niche markets?

Similar to other facets of developing a home business, careful planning is needed to map out a profitable strategy for building a home based business using affiliate programs - a strategy that will allow you to build income through content in a sustainable, month after month way.

The issue is – what are the steps required to develop an income producing web site using affiliate programs that generate consistent, substantial revenue?

Tip Number 1: Align With a Manufacturer That Produces A Quality Product With Unique Features and Manages a Robust Affiliate Program.

As any good sales person will tell you, a high quality product is mandatory for sales success. Look for a company that manufactures (resellers add little value) a quality product that is recognized as different in the marketplace. There are many types of water in the market but purified water is clearly recognized as the highest quality.

After identifying a manufacturer with a quality product offering, chose one with a robust, profitable affiliate program. This should include at a minimum:

• commitment to affiliate success

• commission plans that are substantial

• a website that allows for easy ordering and accrual and payment of commissions

• support for marketing, selling and booking of orders

Tip Number 2: Identify a Niche Market and Create a Plan to Penetrate That Niche Deeply

Avoid the tendency to mass market and "shoot at the flock". Mass marketing is beyod the scope of most companies and entrepreneurs. There are many profitable niche markets that have significant growth potential. Identify a niche market, understand the buying patterns of that niche and penetrate the market. It takes time and work but done right this effort is very profitable.

Some examples of niche markets: hotels (small and large), health spas, golf courses, gyms, car dealerships, organizations and health clubs to name a few. Almost any organization is interested in promoting their brand and brand message in a cost effective way.

Tip Number 3: Create an Eye Catching Website With a link to The Manufacturer

One of the advantages of an affiliate program is that profitable business can be developed with only a nominal investment. Given today's technical level of internet development expertise, creation of an attractive web site is easy and cost effective. The critical part of the website however is the creation of a focused message presented in an attractive manner.

Following the creation of the site, establish a banner link with the chosen manufacturing partner that will direct affiliate inquires to the site for order creation and booking of the affiliate commission.

The manufacturer's site must be able to design and produce labels, provide powerful e-commerce facilities for order booking and shipment and include a facility for the booking and payment of commissions to the affiliate.

Tip Number 4: Create and Implement a Sales Strategy

A clear sales strategy is the most effective path to success and profits in the private label business. Identify in writing the target niche, strategy to penetrate that niche, buying patterns, target prospects and communication material (sales collateral) and tactics to sell targeted prospects. Then implement the strategy in an organized manner and make adjustments to the strategy as conditions change. Remember the old sales adage "Always Be Closing".

Tip Number 5: Follow Up on All Orders and Provide Feedback to Customers

As part of any effective sales effort, follow up and feedback with and to customers is critical to maintaining good customer service and obtaining repeat orders. One of the most powerful aspects of private label water sales is that happy customers tend to be repeat customers. Creation of a long customer list with satisfied customers will generate a steady stream of repeat orders and significant cash flow.

Making Money Through Affiliate Relationships

Oil tycoon, J. Paul Getty stated, "I'd rather one percent of the efforts of 100 men than 100 percent of the efforts of 1 man." He also stated, "money is like manure. You have to spread it around or it smells." So what does this have to do with affiliate marketing and what is affiliate marketing?

Affiliate marketing is the revenue sharing between online advertisers/merchants and online publishers/salespeople, whereby compensation is based on performance measures, typically in the form of sales, clicks, registrations or a hybrid model.

Many sites on the internet earn more income from affiliate sales than they do from sales of their own products. Some site owners don't even sell their own products; they only market the products of their affiliates. Take a look at most any site and you'll see what I mean.

The Amazon associates program was the first online affiliate program of its kind when it launched in 1996. Today, it is the largest and most successful online affiliate program with over 1,000,000 members world-wide. They pay 10% in referral fees on all qualifying revenue made through their links.

An affiliate relationship with major site owners can raise a virtually unknown to a major player in a short period of time. This is the reason intelligent marketers know that affiliate relationships are a smart business decision. Instead of the marketer paying for the advertising, his affiliates take care of that when they market their own site--a win/win situation.

An example of an affiliate only website would be fatwallet.com Here you will see links to anything from books and magazines, computers, video games to Viagra. They even pay you $5 in cash back when you sign up to learn more about their hot deals.

Some sites provide information only and use their affiliate status to generate income.

Starting a site can be something even a novice to the internet can do. With a little bit of ingenuity and creativity, you could be on your way to a part-time or even full-time income thru just your affiliate relationships.

See what I mean about J .Paul Getty's quote in my first paragraph: you have many people carrying the burden of advertising with affiliate marketing, thus taking the burden off the product seller. And by having many affiliates marketing for him, many people may see his advertising several times before they purchase.

Commission Junction Affiliate Review

Company Overview:

Is the Internet a good venue for getting online leads and sales? Oftentimes, online merchants are disappointed or disheartened and end up reverting to traditional media for their advertising needs. Creating a website is not enough. Submitting the URL (with appropriate Meta tags and keywords to make the site searchable) is not enough. Having a merchant account on your site is not enough. The best way to get the most traffic to go to your site is through the forging of relationships with other companies. Short of pounding the pavement or writing emails to anonymous companies who may not give you the time of day, the best solution offered by the internet today are - affiliate programs.

Commission Junction is a one of three ValueClick companies. Together they provide complete Internet marketing solutions to its clients and partners. Commission Junction's expertise lies in forging strategic relationships between publishers and advertisers; thereby creating an open marketplace low risk and high reward for its clients.

Commission Junction is one of the largest affiliate programs on the Internet today with over three hundred advertisers in the UK, France, and Germany alone and over 1,700 merchants and growing daily. Their partners and clients include leading big name Internet and traditional companies such as Air France, Ebay, Microsoft, Palm, Razorfish, Thomas Cook, and Yahoo. Commission Junction ranks as one of the largest ad networks in the world.

Program Details and Benefits:

How does it work? Once upon a time we had a simple term for it. We called it "banner swap". Another was direct ad placement. Publishers would include ads or links to advertisers in the content of their website (oftentimes in the form of banners). This helps advertisers in building their brand, drive up their sales, and decrease the acquisition cost of customers.

Income and commissions are generated by what we call "click through"s. This means that the publisher makes money every time the ad is seen or clicked by a person. The commission rate is often set in batches, for example, every 1,000 clicks, etc.

There are several reasons why Commission Junction is considered one of the best affiliate programs on the Internet today.

1) Commission Junction has a very competitive pricing scheme for their merchants

2) They pay out commissions to their members quickly and on time

3) They constantly look for ways to improve their services by increasing the benefits of their clients (or affiliates) and encourage them to help in expanding the Commission Junction network.

Commission Junction employs traditional affiliate commission models such as "pay per click", "pay per lead" and "pay per sale".

Commission Junction's affiliate program offers a variety of benefits to its affiliates. The first is the two tier commission plan.

1) An affiliate can earn a referral commission ($2 up-front) by encouraging other webmasters or companies into joining the Commission Junction network (assuming they are not yet members of the Commission Junction network) once they sign up. For example, if ten (10) people click through from your site and all of them sign up. That means that the affiliate automatically earns twenty dollars ($20) in referrals.

2) An affiliate can earn a five percent (5%) commission on all commissions generated by their referrals. This only applies to new accounts, and not existing members of Commission Junction. For example, if all ten become active members and each one generates twenty dollars ($20) in commissions each month, then the first tier affiliate will earn an additional ten dollars ($10) monthly income. This translates into an annual income of around one hundred twenty dollars ($120) - all from referrals!

Second, commissions are pooled together in one check paid directly by Commission Junction, on a monthly basis, not by the merchants. There is no set minimum commission per merchant. This means that if you earn five dollars ($5) each from ten merchants in a single month, Commission Junction will remit fifty dollars ($50) to you immediately. Also, Commission Junction offers a centralized online commission report for all its merchant programs.

Another benefit that makes Commission Junction so attractive to merchants and publishers is that they also offer their merchants the same two tiered program they offer their affiliates. This means that all merchants are also entitled to the five percent (5%) second tier commissions.

Commission Junction also offers a variety of affiliate programs that you can promote on your site. Aside from the big name companies, Commission Junction has attracted the attention of many smaller merchants that are highly targeted and are focused on a particular niche. This helps in targeting your site as well and will increase the opportunities of finding a merchant appropriate for your target audience.

Visitor Feedback:

I've read several comments about Commission Junction on the Internet from forums and review sites and there seems to be mixed feedback, depending on whether you are a merchant or an affiliate.

Merchants have given glowing reports all around. According to the merchants, Commission Junction offers them a well-designed and well-implemented solution at a reasonable price. From the affiliates, though, there have been a few glowing reports and quite a few not so desirable ones. Here are some comments posted:

· (August 23, 2001)I could spend all day on their site trying to figure out which programs to choose from the thousands on offer. Don't make much money from them despite the programs looking good.

· (February 25, 2003) Hardly makes you any money even if you try hard. They used to be a good and reliable bunch, but since they've left the pay per click system, they've gone downhill in many respects. When I requested payment, next thing I knew was that they terminated my account, accusing me of cheating! This was supposedly detected by their infallible anti-cheating software… I subsequently emailed them several time asking for an explanation, and they never replied once! What can you do! I'd say skip them if you're looking for a company with integrity. There are many around, like Tradedoubler, Fastclick and Focusin.

· (February 4, 2004 – from a 2-year Commission Junction member) Commission Junction offer a fantastic business opportunity from people working from home (who have a website) wanting to earn an extra income brilliant companies on offer easy to join and add links to - Their payment structure is second to none - I now receive a guaranteed monthly check which is always more every month!

· (April 16, 2004) Commission Junction seemed to be good, but I have just recently requested payment and found my account has been put on payment review for 30 days and then if they think I have increased clicks they will terminate my account. This is very annoying and I don't think I'm the only one who has had this problem. My advice would be to look elsewhere or deal directly with the companies of which you want to become an affiliate.

· (October 18, 2005) Commission Junction interface is hard to navigate, keeps crashing. Stay well clear.

As you can see the comments are mixed. In the early stages of Commission Junction's history there were reports of undelivered commissions and inaccurate tracking. On the up side, the last negative comment I've read was the one listed above (October 18, 2005). I assume this means that Commission Junction has ironed out their bugs and has definitely moved forward and been able to supply its merchant partners and affiliates with the quality service they promised. With nine months of glowing reviews, I think it is safe to recommend Commission Junction to merchants and publishers all over the net.
